There’s frequently a glaring double standard in what people react to. Sometimes it’s worth pointing out. I am choosing to believe that the opening scene wasn’t a troll for what actually became the hilarious Ki-tae drunk undressing but is actually SOMETHING TO COME! Or, at the very least, maybe it’s his drunken dream about how he WISHES that would have gone but couldn’t recall it upon waking up? That is, I want to believe that Se-ah selfish wanting is a result of bad parenting too. She ends up loving herself so much she puts herself above everyone else; including the man she loves and even her (future) child.
Hopefully Ki-tae and Jang-mi doesn’t allow them into their relationship anymore and that they work on getting their families believe that their love is true this time around. It’s a difficult task, given all the lies and deceit behind them. It’s gonna be a while, but I hope they’ll eventually prevail because their families were much happier when this wedding was to happen, than now that its broken. If someone sleeps around a lot it still doesnt mean he wants to sleep with you. Maybe rape was too strong of a word, but it wasnt a consensual sex. Had they BOTH been drunk, maybe it was a drunk sex.
Seo Hyun Woo gosh I want to see more of him in dramas. I’ve also always loved Jang Hee Jin but she’s matured quite a lot in this drama which I love. I kinda wish they got more cute times in the last episode but I will also take a reunion in a romcom thanks. Heck, they should just recast the main four in a romcom so they can all be happy for a change, they deserve it after the emotional rollercoaster that was FOE. Even though a lot of us got hooked on the story because of the thriller atmosphere, I actually stayed when I started noticing the real purpose of the plot (at least for me).
There must have been more to the relationship between YDs family and the cult for IC to remember so much about him and in so much detail … And even now; even as he was reaching out for help and understanding. YDs dissertation gave him some kind of hope or solace, I think, but YD definitely wasn’t playing along so he didn’t admit it. I’m just heartbroken over this episode. I even cried at the drama in the drama. It’s totally brutal and it feels like it could really be permanent too.

If you look at it that way, his dream was taken away from him. But yeah the build up to this was quite something lol. Kind of like how in GOT the White Walkers and The Night King were built up to be these invincible beings yet Arya gets rid of them in a single stroke and you go, “wait, THAT’S IT!?". I would have loved to see actual growth, for them to start over despite everything that happened and work through their issues. Poor Ji Won had to bear the brunt in the end but still accepted him as he is. Would have preferred what you said a lot more but it is what it is now.
Who would let this woman operate on them? She actually needs to go to a psych ward. It’s the only ending for her that will satisfy me. But since those things won’t happen then nop! Maybe I was just feeling particularly grouchy on Saturday but this episode just really, really annoyed me.
Marriage Not Dating: Episodes 3-4
Honestly I’d much rather see a show where the ML did something bad in the past and changed than a ML who nuked his own marriage by letting FL lead think he cheated because the plot said so. I’m holding off on watching the show for this reason. But it’s actually really important in order to create a sense of time passing from scene A to B. This drama’s a nice palate cleanser after watching “Interest of Life". So far, the tone of this drama seems pretty light.
Drama Recaps
I also really loved the portrayal of friendship and loyalty here. It’s actually very understated and sometimes ignored with many other things happening, but it’s one of my favourite aspects. Hoon-dong/Ki-tae, Hoon-dong/Jang-mi, Jang-mi/Hyun-hee, Yeo-rim/Jang-mi, Yeo-rim/Ki-tae… They all looked out for each other, were there when the other person needed a shoulder. Everyone has a different connection and they aren’t bonded as a group but more so individually.

Overall, this may be my new fave romcom to date. Great cast, great OST, good fun and definitely on my rewatch list. However, if not treating the show technically but only to measure it emotionally, I would give at least 9.5.
Nevertheless this is best kdrama I have seen I dont think any other can even come close to it. About plain noble idiocy part, i think youngdo have his reasons, he just don’t https://loveexamined.net/ want to cause dajung any suffering (although she did suffer the heartbreak) . He even said it himself that seeing others hurting because of him is the thing he fears most.
